Bydland Rentals Deer Cartoon
Bydland Rentals Deer Cartoon
I really enjoyed designing this cartoon as it was a from scratch creation and I had designed it completely online. Done away with the pencils was a big thing for me but I really noticed a difference in the look of the cartoon. Keeping the body and legs interchangeable so I could position the deer standing or on all fours gave me room to move on their marketing media.
Bydland Rentals
Bydland Rentals
I never knew that Bydland was some sort of deer. I'm still not 100% sure. But this logo was a fresh approach to a very sterile designed market, property. Without the usual plain text corporate branding we went for a bright pink and a deer as the logo. Not a bad result I have to add.

CNT DL Flyer & Voucher
Brand specific design with the blue, we concentrated on delivering something that would be interesting to entice readers to look into it more. Dishtec A4 Addressed Marketing Letterheads
Dishtec A4 Addressed
These mildly informative but highly decorative letterheads where individually addresses to customers to capture attention and creating a first point of call. The characters were consistent throughout the whole branding.
Dishtec A4 Triplicate Invoice Book
Dishtec A4 Invoice Book

Dishtec DL Kitchen Appliances Flyer
Dishtec Kitchen DL
With the use of the characters we introduced another character cartoon with the chef presenting more information with it's direct relation to the kitchen. The characters and their properties had now become the mascot for their services.

Dishtec iLoad Van Design
Another branded vehicle as part of a larger fleet. This vehicle was developed and designed by Sabius with the branding and message in mind.
Dog 'n' Pie
Dog n Pie
Shows what can be developed under pressure. This client was opening a inner city (Gold Coast) Store within 1 week. Therefore I had to develop this logo overnight to be used throughout packaging and signage. The result of some pencils, a scanner and modern technology I was able to create this fun logo. Turned out the client didn't pay his bills to not only us but all his tradesman. The business never opened it's doors... pity.

GCGFC HTM Advert
Gold Coast Game Fish Club HTM Advert
An advertisement that went in the Blue Water Magazine to promote the Gold Coast Game Fish Club's Heavy Tackle Masters. I began steering away from the focus on the fishing and tried to shift the focus onto the Gold Coast as a Holiday Destination for the Fisherman. The Gold Coast is a beacon of Tourism so most of the hard work of promoting the Gold Coast was done, it was just piggy backing onto the Gold Coast name which was easy. The event was a large success.
GCGFC LTM Advert
Gold Coast Game Fish Club LTM Advert
Another advert for the Gold Coast Game Fish Club, but this was prior to the introduction of a Gold Coast focused campaign. In this advertisement we reflected the fishing element and the previous fish caught during the 2011 competition. This was focused on drawing in families too with a focus on the Junior division.
Gold Coast Game Fish Club Heavy Tacke Masters 2011 A3 Folded Brochure
GFCGC HTM 2011 Brochure
It has a lot of abbreviations, but also has a lot of information. The battle with the design of these 'brochures' is the shear amount of information that needs to be presented clearly. Arranging the text to read consistently and also being able to capture the attention of the potential entrants with the first few paragraphs was the key. So by using the front to best display the character of the competition and highlighting the important information on the inside we delivered an entry form / brochure.
Gold Coast Game Fish Club Heavy Tacke Masters 2012 A3 Folded Brochure
GFCGC HTM 2012 Brochure
Similar to the previous year but revamped to attract more attention from the cover alone. In need to develop more customers this flyer was developed to attract attention and also present a new chef. While trying to stimulate a dead market was tough during the height of the GFC it raised as much interest as it could within a usually thriving and wealthy area of the Gold Coast. Competition and the incapability to hold down a good chef ultimately led to this restaurants demise.

Paradise Beauty 3DL Brochure
Paradise Beauty 3DL Brochure
Developed with the new branding, new pricing was also required and an eye catching design. With these regal colours not my usual first selection for a beauty salon, I wanted to divert from white and gold which was oddly enough used by their competition only a stones through away from this store. The result turned out better than expected and with the lithograph bird pattern within added even more spice to the design.

Pizza al Volo 2DL Pizza Menu
Pizza al Volo Menu
This menu was derived for the local pizza shops interior design. Italian focused with the red and green, we wanted to reflect what the pizza store displayed in store to the local community through a mass distribution in the area. The response initialised the business onto the Paradise Point area, and the majority of customers hung this menu which had a magnet on it's back on their fridge.
Pizza Poster
Pizza al Volo Poster Design
A boutique pizza place in the Esplenade at Paradise Point on the Gold Coast. Great Pizza by the way. But we approached this design to reflect the shop decor and also harness the italian idea of pizza with the red white and green.
PressQ
PressQ
PressQ printers was a fresh new approach to printing were we tried to go completely cloud with printing. Ended up in becoming successful in other areas especially in lenitcular printing. This logo worked well with the two colours and became common signature on over 250,000 3D postcards sold over 12 months. Unfortunately due to equipment failure the business depleted.
Pride Casual Furniture
Pride Casual Furniture
Leisure Pride Casual Outdoor Furniture was a site who's predecessor was a carbon copy (code, images, the lot) of a franchised and purchased business. As the franchise diverted into different avenues the websites differed slightly but were intrinsically the same. So the product was eventuated to go back to scratch and create a new website from foundations to give it a different look and a different coding. The reason for this is that SEO requires that any copying of content from other websites ultimately punishes you. Because the predecessor was a copy of the original franchisor, Google punished the site. Now, this website is completely re-written and contains unique codes and products giving it essential SEO to compete with it's rivals.
Pure Colour Lounge 3DL Pricelist
Pure Colour Lounge 3DL
Derived from a simpler design, we vamped up the brochure injecting some life into it by grabbing photos from their website and inserting them into the floating internal page of the brochure. Because of the low quality of the images, we collaged them in a way that could boost the image of the hair salon with great effect.
Pure Colour Lounge B5 Pricelist Flyers
Pure Colour Lounge B5
A pricelist with a obscure size. Using B5, which is an American sizing, we designed this brochure to be a bit more edgy than 'just a pricelist'. With the streaks donw the side to represent the colouring technique and then the imagery of modern hair framed within the streaks, we gave the artwork some life that was more than 'just a pricelist'.
Queensland Pest Control
Queensland Pest Control
Striking and bold logo communicating the brand quite well. Yellow being of action and the state infiltrating the text gave it an edge. But the ant in it's position and it's curled nature was to present the pest killing aspect of it all.
RAS Trading
RAS Trading
Regal strong and clear design to imply a heirachy in importation and distribution. As an American importer I thought it represented his character quite well.
Ree and Johns Wedding Invitations with Envelope
Ree and Johns Wedding Invites
Low key and simplified to deliver the mildly decorative but bold appearance was to symbolise the wedding of this couple. The wedding was to be low key so the invites had to reflect this but also look appealing. We printed them on a matt stock and laminated them and scored the centre. The envelopes were also hand made.
Sheharazade Belly Dancing Business Card
Sheharazade Business Card
Printed with foiling over the garments and the Sheharazade text, the card had a regal vigour about it and reflected the glamour of the belly dancing show. With the dancer performing in these glamorous costumes we tried to capture it with the foiling with great success.
Slim Me Poster
Slim Me Poster Design
Designed from a napkin scribble (quite common) with the inclusion of the personal touch of a image. It's a great example of how an image can compliment the design from something that was practically nothing.
South East Floors
South East Floors
Revamp of an old tired logo. This logo became prominent in the Oxenford area on the Gold Coast with large signage and a fleet of 6 vehicles all sporting this logo. The showroom factory utilised the state in a 3 dimensional look with a massive 20x4m banner skin.
Southeast Floors A4 Product Flyers
Southeast Floors A4 Flyers
This company needed a swatch book or flyer to help sell their product to their customers. With a huge range to select from, we captured the best of the bunch and highlighted these swatches within flyers to indicate the outcome of this stylish product. This was part of a much larger series that applied for every type of product they provided with a large array of colours and floor types.
Spring Restaurant
Spring Restaurant
Originally a wordpress framework with little usability, we went back to the drawing board and redesigned Spring.com.au from the start. A completely new digital space that reflected the restaurants persona much more accurately. The colours and the design is similar to what was essential to the character of the dining areas. SYSQ functionality that was applauded much more easier to use than Wordpress. The website has much functionality that isn't now used due to services that are no longer available.
Spring Business Card
Spring Business Card
Sticking to the brand but simplifying it predeceasing card that had an enormous amount of finishings that where highly costly. But for effect they didnt justify the cost. We gladly redesigned the card for them to utilise much more cost effective production and also made the design clearer and significant to the brand. That in which the previous card lacked. This shows that you don't need to spend a huge amount of money to achieve and great result.
SS Constructions
SS Constructions
Originally Shane Summers Constructions which we shortened to SSConstructions for the client in order for a shorter and less individual brand for a large developer.
Stanton Multihulls
Stanton Multihulls
This logo communicates the brand of trade quite simple and effectively. Nothing too special about it but not much you could fault either.
Steve's Artworx
Steve's Artworx
The previous version of this site was one of the first website's I had created with a prototype SYSQ system. In desperate need of a revamp due to some ageing code and SEO changes, we revamped the look of the site, implemented the latest version of SYSQ, and layed a great SEO platform. Nice bold and simple for ease of viewing on mobile devices as well as your screen.
STS Piping
STS Piping
Branded multilayer Stainless Steel piping systems imported into Australia. The blue was to indicate liquid and the general layout was indicative of the piping ability.
Summit Fitness & Health
Summit Fitness & Health
Summit was the first website to use the SYSQ management system and the client applauded the ease of usability compared to Wordpress on his past site. The Timetable is completely manageable by the administrator and the site is socially integrated with Facebook.
Supa-IGA Gift Certificate
Supa-IGA Gift Certificate
In light of developing something that was soft and appealing to it's shoppers Supa-IGA wanted to give a Gift Certificate that looked as good as for as much as it was worth. We worked on this to develop something that was appealing to all age groups and something that could be delivered with welcoming acceptance for the look and feel of the artwork.
Surf Central
Surf Central Byron Bay
Circular logo at request of the client. The surfer silhouette was an essential addition even though the text indicates surf we wanted to present a more image focused design that would communicate the brand.
Tara Ed Recruitment DL FLyer
Tara Ed DL Flyer
Modelled off the poster design that we did for Tara Ed, this flyer was more informative and action orientated. Distributed throughout the Universities to poach recruiters we needed to capture empathy and also opportunity in which I believe we achieved.
Tara Ed Poster
Tara Ed Recruitment Poster
A charity with a worthy cause needed support in designing a recruitment poster aimed at education students but to also highlight the brand for exposure and recognition. For this I combined the main image with the orange overlay to highlight branding and the Indian School students that the charity aims to help.
Target Electrical Mini DL Magnet
Target Electrical Magnet
Magnet calendar as a mailout. These magnets were mass produced in order to be distributed as a mailout. The cost of this was extraordinary due to the weight of the magnets as magnet material is five times the weight of a standard leaflet stock. Although expensive it is incredibly effective. To consider that a large majority of these magnets have found their way into households and now potentially viewed everyday by the residents. It's advertising that is consistent after it's initial cost requiring no ongoing fees and how often do you go to your fridge?
Teriyaki Mate
Teriyaki Mate
Japan meets Australia. The red dot from the japanese flag against an either contrasted black or white back drop text or vice versa. Branded for a restaurant which harness the logo quite well and looked exceptional amongst the napkins and other restaurant crockery.
The Building Feller
The Building Feller
Block masculine text and imagery to indicate the builders stature and strength in his trade.
The Digital Picture
The Digital Picture
Reflects all elements of this Business' trade within the logo's dimmed text. The business name had to reflect exactly what this niche tradesperson constructs as well as be multicoloured and work on various app programs.
Audio Visual Banner
The Digital Picture Banner
Displayed inside audio visual expo's and other events, this banner was to reflect the branding of the client and their services.
The Tattoo Shop
The Tattoo Shop
Loved doing this logo with Tattoo artists. It is interesting receiving two different approaches to form a unique outcome. The Koi fish are disguised within the text but reflect a tattoo design quite well.
The Digital Picture
The Digital Picture
This was a break format site that we experimented with several different layouts to best represent a home theatre environment. Dark and supported light with a central viewing area. The logo was suppressed in the background and we also utilised the font from a SONOS programming in which the client utilises in their productions. Complete news/blog feature for easy updating as well as social integration.
Tiger Earthmoving
Tiger Earthmoving
Sketch and scan then colour and shade with the computer. This logo had to represent a strong and deadly character in representing the bobcats that the customer owned.
Tiny's Budget Landscape Supplies DL Flyer and Magnet
Tiny's DL Flyer and Magnet
This flyer and magnet combination was a combined mailout with the magnet and DL combined together on distribution. Like the magnet previous to this artwork the distribution cost was great but the rewards and marketing potential for this is extraordinary.
Football Jersey
Troopers Touch Football Jersey
The touch football team that we participate in and contribute too. With a new group of players we needed some jerseys to bind a new team together with, the colour scheme was maroon and blue to reflect the origin in the NRL. This combined with some spikes and a hexagonal scale we came up with this.
Vision Employment
Vision Employment
The camera lens or microscope symbology as well as the colouring took this logo into a minimalist approach.
Watsons Bay Label 2
Watsons Bay Contemporary Wine Label
In light of the other wine label, the impressionistic one, this was another label developed with a contemporary approach to suit a more clean and simple shelf appearance. The aim was to highlight the contrast and the city skyline with the sun in the background to signify the sunset. Developed from my own sketch of Watson's Bay, which was a series of sketches and selected the few types that we liked.
Watsons Bay Label 1
Watsons Bay Impressionistic Wine Label
Developed as an impressionistic sketch with the beige and peach to represent the sunset on Watson's Bay in Sydney. Rex Watson, the winemaker, had a close relation to the Bay and loved the sunset. So to reflect this I was presented with a series of photo's to develop a sketch from for originality. This was the Impressionistic version, by this I mean I drew it quite fast.
Racing Shirt Design
Wilson Security Racing Crew Shirt and Polar Fleece
In reflection of the previous comments on the Wilson Security Hats, this merchandising is part of a larger array of merchandising developed for the Wilson Securities racing team when they first began. With Hybrid Designs still evolving from these originals that I created, the merchandising was seen on v8 racing all throughout the year of 2008.
Racing Cap Design
Wilson Security Racing Team Cap
I was approached by a gentleman many years ago by happenstance of being in the right place at the right time. It began with myself developing artworks for Glenfords Racing Team which evolved into the new sponsor of Wilson Security. From what was originally just basic pit crew shirts turned into a whole batch of merchandising for the team. This was the cap design I developed for them in which is still hybrid designed from this original concept.
X Factor
X Factor Cleaning
Hardcore and edgy as the X would entail. Went for the inspiration from the ever popular extreme games and although does not represent cleaning, it does represent their speed and agility with the trade.
Zireas Designs
Zireas Designs
This was a logo designed for a couple who where beginning a new venture into home wares and textiles. I'd developed a unique Kamon (Japanese Flower Emblem) Which has a Bell Flower (beauty), Passion Flower (nobility), and then Swords (that weird three pronged white thing on top of them both to represent masculinity). They were aiming at the gay market so I thought the masculinity in a contemporary floral suited quite nicely, especially that they were going into the textile market.
Zireas Designs Business Card
Zireas Designs Business Card
This card was created to compliment the textile products it represented. We used brand colour schemes and delivered a simplified yet depth focused result with the shading. Nice card we thought, so we thought we'd share it with you.
